XPeng Unveils Next-Gen Humanoid Robot, Shares Surge
Chinese tech firm XPeng (XPEV) saw its shares rally sharply after unveiling its IRON humanoid robot at the 2025 Tech Day. The bionic machine features a flexible spine, synthetic muscles, and 22 degrees of hand articulation—pushing the boundaries of robotic dexterity.
The robot runs on three Turing AI chips with integrated vision, language, and movement capabilities. XPeng claims it's the first humanoid using solid-state batteries and indoor collision avoidance systems. Commercial deployment begins this year, with mass production targeted for late 2026.
